What is an Elopement?
Back in our grandparent’s day Eloping meant a couple would sneak away to secretly get married. Today, while couple’s may still choose to do it secretly, an elopement is much more than that! Eloping couples often want something more simple, intimate, or adventurous than a big traditional wedding. Some couples have a vision to get married on a mountain top, waterfront, beach or state park instead of a traditional venue. Occasionally, couples just don’t want the input of family or friends on their wedding experience. Some couples just want something short and sweet to seal their commitment. Whatever your reason for wanting to elope, we’re thrilled to capture every beautiful detail of your big day!

Lux Amore Photography was founded on the belief that ALL love matters and ALL love is beautiful. I proudly represent and support the LGBTQ+ Community in East Tennessee and the greater Southern USA. I also maintain a vast network of LGBTQ+ owned and allied Elopement Vendors to provide my clients with referrals to make the Elopement planning process as enjoyable and painless as possible. As a Lesbian business owner I understand the struggle many Same-Sex and Queer couples face getting married in the South and I want to mitigate that as much as possible. I am also passionate about educating other local photographers on how to be more inclusive to the Community in their businesses (See Blog How LGBTQ+ Weddings are Unique).
